Pasquerilla West Hall (fondly nicknamed “PDub”) was established in 1981, and was the first dorm built just for women. Our beloved PDub could not have been constructed without the generous donation by Frank and Sylvia Pasquerilla, who also gifted Notre Dame’s Pasquerilla East Hall (PE) and the ROTC building, the Pasquerilla Center.
While the powerful women of PDub have been known as everything from the Pink Wizards to the Plaid Wave (I know, right?), we’re now proud to call ourselves Purple Weasels. Our dorm color is (surprise!) purple, and by the time a weasel graduates, she is sure to have at least ten articles of purple clothing. However, this is an excellent thing, because purple is one color that looks good on everyone.

Our Location
Pasquerilla West is located on Mod Quad, named for its ~modern architecture~ (well, modern for the ‘80s).
Nonetheless, Mod Quad offers one of the best locations on campus for our beloved dorm. Situated next to PE and the two men’s dorms Siegfried and Knott, the quad offers easy access to North Dining Hall (NDH), the best dining hall on campus, and Hesburgh Library, a popular study spot for many fellow weasels. With this, it is just a short walk from the Jordan Hall of Science, the Golden Dome and Basilica, LaFun Student Center, and many other hotspots on campus.
